Anti-Spam Policy
Last Updated: March 19, 2026
Joluwya is committed to maintaining a communication environment that is respectful, relevant, and free from unsolicited or deceptive messaging. This Anti-Spam Policy describes the standards we uphold for all electronic communications sent through or in connection with our platform, and the obligations of all users who communicate via our services.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to:
- All electronic messages sent through Joluwya's platform, including transactional, promotional, and operational communications
- Any user, client, partner, or third party who uses Joluwya's messaging infrastructure or communication tools
- Automated and manual communications originating from or relayed through our systems
- Email, SMS, push notifications, and in-platform messaging features
2. Definition of Spam
For the purposes of this policy, spam refers to any unsolicited, bulk, or deceptive electronic communication. This includes but is not limited to:
- Unsolicited commercial messages sent to recipients who have not given explicit consent
- Messages sent in bulk without a legitimate business relationship or prior opt-in
- Communications containing false, misleading, or deceptive header information
- Messages with subject lines that do not accurately reflect the content
- Communications that disguise the sender's identity or origin
- Messages that contain or link to malware, phishing content, or fraudulent material
- Repeated unsolicited contact after a recipient has requested cessation of communication
3. Our Commitment to Responsible Communication
Joluwya sends electronic communications only in accordance with the following principles:
3.1 Consent-Based Messaging
We send communications only to individuals and organisations that have provided explicit, verifiable consent, or where a legitimate and documented relationship exists. Consent records are maintained and available for review upon request.
3.2 Accurate Identification
All messages sent by Joluwya clearly identify the sender. We do not use false or misleading sender names, addresses, or domain information. Our physical address is included in all marketing and commercial communications.
3.3 Honest Subject Lines and Content
Subject lines and message previews accurately reflect the content of each communication. We do not use deceptive tactics to encourage recipients to open or engage with messages.
3.4 Unsubscribe and Opt-Out Mechanisms
Every marketing or promotional communication includes a clear and functional mechanism for recipients to opt out of future messages. Opt-out requests are processed promptly and no further marketing communications are sent to that recipient once the request has been fulfilled.
3.5 Suppression List Management
We maintain active suppression lists of recipients who have opted out or requested removal. These lists are applied consistently across all communication campaigns and are not overridden by new data imports or list merges.
4. User Obligations
Users of Joluwya's platform who send or initiate communications through our infrastructure agree to the following:
- You will not use our platform to send unsolicited bulk messages of any kind
- You will not harvest, purchase, or use contact lists obtained without the recipients' explicit consent
- You will not use our services to send messages containing false sender information, misleading subject lines, or deceptive content
- You will honour all opt-out and unsubscribe requests received in connection with your communications
- You will not use our platform to distribute malware, phishing links, or any content designed to deceive or harm recipients
- You will not engage in any practice that would cause Joluwya's sending infrastructure or IP addresses to be listed on spam blacklists or damage our sender reputation
- You accept full responsibility for the content and targeting of any communications you initiate through our platform
5. Prohibited Practices
The following practices are strictly prohibited on the Joluwya platform:
| Prohibited Practice | Description |
|---|---|
| List bombing | Subscribing a recipient to multiple lists without their knowledge or consent |
| Address spoofing | Falsifying the origin or reply-to address of any message |
| Purchased lists | Importing or using contact data acquired from third-party list brokers without documented consent |
| Harvested addresses | Using email addresses collected by automated scraping of websites or directories |
| Malicious content | Including links or attachments that deliver harmful software or direct users to fraudulent pages |
| Suppression bypass | Attempting to contact individuals who have previously opted out or unsubscribed |
| Misleading headers | Using technical headers that misrepresent the path or origin of a message |
6. Monitoring and Enforcement
Joluwya actively monitors communication activity on its platform to detect patterns consistent with spam or abuse. This includes:
- Automated analysis of sending volume, bounce rates, and complaint rates
- Review of flagged accounts or communications reported by recipients
- Cooperation with internet service providers, blocklist operators, and abuse reporting organisations
Where a violation of this policy is identified, Joluwya reserves the right to take any or all of the following actions:
- Immediate suspension or termination of the user's account
- Removal of access to messaging features pending investigation
- Reporting of the activity to relevant authorities or industry bodies
- Recovery of costs incurred as a result of the violation, including fees related to blocklist remediation
7. Reporting Spam or Abuse
If you have received an unsolicited message that you believe originated from or was facilitated by Joluwya's platform, or if you wish to report a user of our services who you believe is engaging in spam or abusive communication practices, please contact us:
- Email: support@joluwya.com
- Phone: +353 1 253 0880
- Address: 5 Greendale Rd, Donaghmede, Dublin 5, Ireland
When reporting, please include as much detail as possible, including the full message headers, the date and time received, and any relevant identifiers. All reports are treated confidentially and investigated in a timely manner.
8. Third-Party Services and Integrations
Where Joluwya's platform integrates with or connects to third-party communication services, each party is independently responsible for compliance with applicable anti-spam standards within their own systems. Joluwya does not assume liability for communications initiated or transmitted solely through third-party infrastructure outside of our direct control. However, we expect all integration partners to maintain standards consistent with this policy.
9. Transactional Communications
Transactional messages - including account confirmations, payment notifications, security alerts, and service updates - are sent as a necessary part of delivering our services. These communications are not subject to the same opt-in requirements as marketing messages but must still comply with all accuracy and identification requirements set out in this policy. Recipients may not opt out of transactional communications while maintaining an active account.
10. Changes to This Policy
Joluwya may update this Anti-Spam Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable standards. When material changes are made, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage users to review this page periodically.
